International scientific-practical conference in Guba

“Azerbaijan experience in the development of intercultural relations” international scientific-practical conference was held in Guba on July 17-18. Government and public figures, diplomats from  Azerbaijan, Russia, Israel and the United States, representatives of the 17 ethnic minorities, members of the national-cultural community, famous ethnographers, philosophers, anthropologists, culturologists, sociologists and cultural figures attended  the international event.  The conference was arranged  with the support of the National Academy of Sciences, Institute of Philosophy, Sociology and Law Institute, Guba REP's, the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Speakers told about the role of the political leader Heydar Aliyev  in the successful policy regarding the minorities living in the country, preservation of the values ​​of the country's ethnic minorities. For the first time in CIS countries, not only the scientists, but also the representatives of different minorities focused on the topical issue. 
The conference helped to develop new practical ways leading to the development of ethnic and intercultural relations in the country.
